Who are the Association of Professional Independent Scientologists?
The Association of Professional Independent Scientologists (APIS) is a duly registered non profit association registered in the State of Delaware, USA.
Its members believe they should be free to practice the original philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard.

Founder
Michael is the Founder of APIS. He founded the association over fifteen years ago under the name of the International Freezone Association Inc under which it is duly registered in thre State of Delaware, USA. Michael is a long time Scientologist of 50 years and has spent many years running and administering scientology organisations as well as non scientology organisations. He is currently running a small publishing company as well as working full time and administering and advising APIS on a consultancy basis.
Chris Black VIII HSST, HACS, SSIV
COO
Chris found Scientology in 1976 and in 1977 joined staff and was a staff member for two decades. He is a Class VIII C/S, A Class IX Auditor and Staff Status IV with many years under his belt. Chris is an absolute stickler for standard tech. He has been a member and staff of APIS since its inception 15 years ago. Chris has also held the posts of Cramming Office, Word Clearer, Supervisor, and many Admin and Tech posts during his tenure as a Staff member, the last being Senior C/S.
Bernie Level 0, KTL/LOC, OTV
Keeper of Technology & Policy Knowledge
Bernie has accumulated many years as a scientologist and specialises in acquiring all the source materials and presenting it to be available to scientologists. He also monitors for any non standard practices and ensures they are corrected within APIS. He produces on source checksheets with the materials available for APIS members through the membership library service.
Further, he sees to it tech and policy is readily available and utilized. Part of that also includes compiling the various courses and other materials with the help of standard tech experienced experts which is then released to APIS members, auditors and training centers so standard tech can be gotten in on the field as well.
